Planning Objection from Livesey Parish Council

Firstly, the Parish Council has been consistent in its opposition to this type of development, particularly where Schools have beenidentified as being in close proximity to any proposed development In this particular Application, the development is literally on the doorstep of Cherry Tree Pre School which operates from the Woodlands United Reformed Church Hall and has done so for a vast number of years.

The Pre School has always proved to be a popular Pre School educational establishment and in addition to having children from the area attract other families from well outside this area. This is borne out of an excellent reputation which the Pre School has developed particularly recently, and the Managers and Parents I am aware have deeply held concerns and reservations relating to this proposed development. The School has received "good" Ofsted inspection results and continues to improve year on year. The Parish Council believes that in addition to the obvious concerns relating to health, safety and welfare, therecould clearly be an adverse impact on the Pre School from Parents equally concerned about the potential outcomes from this development.

In addition, the Parish Council wishes to point out that there is aNursery provision at Nook Barn (in the catchment area) and a Primary School on Cherry Tree Lane, St Francis CE Primary School. Furthermore, the Parish Council believes that the siting of this development is in an area surrounded by housing, with many young families living within the catchment area and believe that as residents, account should be taken of their outlook and living conditions and their obvious concerns.

Finally, the Parish Council contend the need for this type of development in this area and on this particular site rather than the Applicant pursuing alternative sites and perhaps considering mast sharing or the multi use of an existing site.

I should be grateful if the Parish Council's objections could be brought to the attention of Members of the Planning Committee

Kind regard

Building A Better Future

The Party’s Over!
Reality hits home - bringing the country
back to it’s senses

The reality of the Economic situation hits home. Nationally Labour messed up. Locally Labour councillors can’t believe that the cash cow
of central government has dried up. Labour in Blackburn , including our own MP, Jack Straw, will blame anyone but their own party.

HELP ALWAYS WELCOME.

If you are ever seized with a desire to help your local Conservatives then just email us by clicking HERE.

There is no need to join the Conservative party - just a desire to help in supporting and representing our residents.

We would always welcome help with distributing leaflets and there will be plenty to do at election times.
